 | Oda Nobuna no Yabou (2012) Genres: Comedy, Historical, Romance Episodes: 12 Description: The historical romantic comedy follows 17-year-old high schooler Sagara Yoshiharu who one day time-travels to the Sengoku period, where all the major Samurai lords are cute girls. Yoshiharu meets Oda Nobuna, the female counterpart of Oda Nobunaga, and begins to serve her as a substitute of Kinoshita Tokichiro, who was killed. Thoughts: Quite well done I thought, although perhaps there may have been more implications in the time travel part. However, exploration of that could takeover the show, and leave much wanting. Therefore the choice to mainly ignore it was probably a good one. The show was fairly interesting, with a decent concept, although it does seem to be set up for a second season, which I think it deserves. Ranking: Story: 4/5 An interesting concept, and well avoided the issues with time travel, focusing on the events instead. Animation: 4/5 The animation was well done, maybe not perfect. Action: 3/5 A decent amount of action, especially large scale battles, with a small focus within. Comedy: 4/5 Good comedy, light-hearted feel, a generally nice experience |
