Several bands of pirates were battling over the great hidden treasure, One Piece, which was left by the now legendary pirate captain, Gold Roger. There was a young boy who admired the pirates, his name was Monkey D. Luffy. One day, he mistakenly eats the devil's fruit and turns himself into a rubber human being. Ten years have passed since that incident. Luffy sets out to sail all alone. He sets out to become a great pirate captain and that's when his great adventure begins. Mine (Pretty much spoiler free): A great pirate era is started by the last words of the pirate king "Gold" Roger, "You want my treasure? Find it! I left everything the world has to offer there!" Now, pirates travel the world's greatest sea-the Grand Line-in an attempt to reach the end and find the treasure known as the "One Piece." The story follows the adventures of a boy named Monkey D. Luffy in his adventures to find the One Piece and become the next pirate king. As the story progresses he gathers a crew and defeats opposition on his journey to the end of the Grand Line. No story summarizing for this one, its too long. Thoughts: The show is fun to watch, and I find myself cheering for the main characters. The stronger enemies can make sometimes worry you, but fights are always enjoyable to watch. I'd only recommend for people who have time/patience to watch one show for a long time. Dubbed episodes currently reach around 300, and subbed are 600+. Rank: Story: 4/5 Story is continuous and a large part of the show. Animation: 4/5 Animation is smooth and movement looks good. Action: 4/5 There's a lot of action, and decent stories behind it. Comedy: 3/5 Comedy is less focused on, but still a noticable part of the series.
